The Situation

Storm drains aren’t always top of mind. Where does litter go when it’s blown by wind and washed away by rain? Straight to water reclamation plants and Lake Mead. Which just happens to be where much of Southern Nevada’s drinking water comes starts its journey. Connecting trash and drinking water might sound off-putting, but awareness with a twist of humor can help change behavior.

The Solution

Using the power of song to connect public awareness messaging with an audience removed from the challenge, we changed behaviors with a karaoke-style music video (that’s won multiple awards) for a multi-cultural audience. With humor, catchy lyrics, and a dope beat, we connected consequences to behavior without harsh judgement. NOTE: no water was harmed in the making of this video – careful editing and post-production kept it clean.
